Auto appoint to group according to customer spend (Groups Feature)

Requires Groups feature.

This custom coding automatically assigns a customer to a group when they reached a minimum total spend. This is a great feature to reward customers for their spending who do not want to sign up to a subscription based membership program.

Once the customer is in a group (example VIP group) the following is possible:
  1. Set discounts per product that apply when the customer has logged in (requires Dynamic Pricing)
  2. Provide access to specific pages or blog posts
Note: There are no controls to automatically remove the user from a Group. If a user already belongs to a group that has an associated discount, the higher discount group takes priority.
