Sell Fixed or User Choice Packs
Set up as many fixed packs as you like. Allow your members to mix and match their own products.
In our experience, fixed packs are low in conversions and User Choice is much easier to convert new members!
Automated payments, no need for batching
CRU Club uses
Stripe as the payment engine which handles the automation of payments. When members sign up through our easy to use online flow, their payment is taken immediately and you receive an order just like any other eCommerce order. When members next payment date occurs, their card is automatically debited and again, you receive an order just like any other eCommerce order. As members sign up sporadically, membership payments are sporadic - meaning consistent cash flow throughout the year! No longer needing to wait for specific times of the year to batch payments and pack a load of boxes.
Automate free shipping
Assign free shipping rules to ensure you are providing the benefits that are the basic requirements for a successful wine club. These include not only free shipping on wine club subscription orders, but also ad hoc orders.
Create tiered membership based on the number of bottles and frequency of delivery
Create a tiered membership program, providing flexibility to your members. Flexibility increases conversions dramatically especially for cellar door staff as they can upsell an already in process sale. Simply ask the new customers if they want to upgrade to a subscription - its that easy!
How Many - Depending on what you want to offer, 3, 6 and 12 packs are the highest converting. Select which options work best for your winery,
How Often - Add as many options as you like or as your members want. This ties with the your pack size options which allows the limitation on some options - for example 3 packs are low hanging fruit, so limiting the 3 pack option to go with a high frequency (such as every month or every 2 months) makes sense, rather than offering 3 pack every 6 or 12 months.
Notice from the screenshot above, each option has corresponding discount. This is based on the number of bottles in the year that a member may receive. The higher the pack size and frequency, the better the discount
Member Self Management
Members can log into their account and update payment details, change products or even switch pack options. CRU automates reminder emails, ensuring your members know when their next shipment is coming and have plenty of time to manage all aspects of their subscription membership.
Failed Payment Retry System
If a payment fails, our smart retry system will send an email to the member asking for them to update their credit card. The system will then automatically retry charging the payment over a period of 5 days and if the member has updated their card during that time, the payment will be successful. If the card has not been updated, the subscription will change to On-Hold. At this point, contact with the member is necessary.
